Hello!
I'm Sian. I'm a certified coach, amateur genealogist, solo mum, young widow, AWFC season ticket holder, runner and optimist.

I've not always been those things - the AWFC support is very new, blame my children! I did a marketing degree, then worked in marketing across corporates and a start-up for 15 years. A pretty linear and well-planned out career path from the outside looking in, but it did not bring me fulfilment, something I know resonates with people I coach. Through the curveballs, false starts and changes I've made to live a life I have actively chosen, I've learnt a great deal about navigating and embracing big changes, picking myself up, starting over and getting out of my own way.

I was also diagnosed with partial deafness in my twenties - this doesn't impact my ability to coach, by the way, but if you are struggling to come to terms with a life-changing diagnosis or health issue, I get it.
As a Coach
It was through being coached myself that I came under the spell of the magic of coaching. I would leave coaching sessions with such amazing energy, feeling clearer, more capable and believing in myself much more. Coupled with an enthusiasm for positive psychology, which I embraced whilst trying to move forward after my husband died suddenly, I had a new found fascination with human behaviour and how we can improve our situation no matter the start point. This all led to me training to become a coach with Optimus Academy in 2022.

I am now a certified coach and accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I typically coach people who are in the midst of a big life change. I coach 1-1, in groups and also offer bespoke workplace coaching solutions and workshops.

My clients tell me I have a warm and supportive vibe, but I will help you move out of your comfort zone which (as the name suggests!) can feel uncomfortable too. Coaching is a safe, unbiased, non-judgemental space to be really honest with yourself about what you want, what is holding you back and how you can start to move forward.

I am committed to regular learning to enhance my coaching skills and also attend regular supervision sessions.
